hellamike asked: What is the best way to share an iTunes library over two accounts so they have the same library? Apple's documentation doesn't seem to be working for me, and I am not sure where to go from here. The Apple Remote app on my iPhone also won't show in iTunes, I'm guessing because the music library is in the shared folder of the Mac. Any suggestions?

iTunes is the worst piece of software that Apple makes. It’s the kind of software that you expect Apple to point at as an example of the wrong way to do it. (Sadly I don’t think there are any better alternatives.)

Unfortunately I don’t have any suggestions on how to do this. Media sharing is a piece of the puzzle I haven’t really figured out either. The “Home Sharing” feature in recent versions of iTunes is supposed to help, but I haven’t used it all that much.

You might try sending an Ask TUAW message, or search the TUAW.com or Macworld archives to see if they have a suggestion.

(Be sure to let me know if you find a good answer :-)
