Adjust volume (or mute) even with the screensaver...
finermac points out that you can adjust the volume of your Mac even with the screensaver on, using the keyboard commands. Which keyboard commands you use depend on the “recent-ness” of your Mac. Look on the function keys. You’ll get on-screen confirmation (even with the screensaver on).
